Who we are

Sardar Fateh Singh Academy (“the Academy”, “we”, “us”) is an in-person skills academy based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Information we collect

We collect information only when you choose to give it to us. When you submit the application form on the Apply page, we collect:

• Your full name
• Your phone or WhatsApp number
• Your email address
• Your city
• Your current situation (for example student, working professional, business owner, freelancer or other)
• Your preferred time to be contacted
• Your own words about why you want to join
• Your confirmation that you agree to be contacted

Like most websites, our hosting and security systems may also process technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We use this to keep the site secure and to limit abuse of the form, for example by restricting the number of submissions from one address in an hour.

We do not ask for payment details, bank details or government identity numbers through this website.

How we use your information

We use the details you submit to:

• Read and assess your application for the programme
• Contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email to start a conversation about the programme
• Decide, after that conversation, whether a place can be offered
• Keep a record of the enquiry and our communication with you

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing, and we do not publish it.

Consent and communication

By ticking the consent box on the application form you agree that we may contact you about your application using the phone number and email address you gave. Submitting the form does not enrol you in the programme and does not oblige you to take any further step. If you do not want to be contacted, tell us and we will stop.

Where your information is stored and who can see it

Applications are stored in the administration area of our WordPress website, which is hosted on a third-party hosting service. Access is limited to people authorised by the Academy. Our website may also be set up to notify the Academy by email when a new application arrives; if so, those details travel through the email system the Academy uses.

Our hosting provider and other service providers who help us run the website may process this information on our behalf, only to provide their service.

How long we keep it

We keep application details for as long as they are needed to handle your application and any conversation that follows, and for any period the law requires. When they are no longer needed, we delete or anonymise them. You can also ask us to delete them sooner (see below).

Your choices: access, correction and deletion

You can write to us at any time to:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw your consent to be contacted

We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can, and will act on your request unless we are required by law to keep certain information. To make a request, email sardarfatehsinghacademy@gmail.com from the address you applied with, or use the contact details below.

Cookies and third-party services

The site is built on WordPress, which may set essential cookies, for example for people who are signed in to the administration area. To display our typography, the site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers and your IP address is visible to them.

This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits to the site and the performance of our advertising on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Pixel sets cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and sends information about your visit to Meta, such as the pages you view and technical details about your device and browser. The site is also set up to send measurement events from our server to Meta through Meta’s Conversions API. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages they view, and how many people start or submit an application. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers and receives information such as the pages you view, approximate location, and device and browser details. We have switched off Google signals and advertising personalisation features in Google Analytics, and we do not send your name, phone number, email address or the answers in your application to Google Analytics as event data. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy.

If we add other analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy before doing so.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you submit, including restricting access and limiting form abuse. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is not directed at children. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian before submitting the form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be shown on this page.
